Even people who have little to do with technology know how Facebook was founded and what processes it went through during its founding phase. One of the most important reasons for this is undoubtedly the 2010 film The Social Network directed by David Fincher. A similar story is now coming from Spotify. On April 23, 2006, the world’s most popular music streaming platform, Spotify, launched by Daniel Ek and Martin Lorentzon, will be the netflix series.
Netflix announced that the series will be based on Spotify Untold, originally known as Spotify inifrån. The story will focus on spotify’s founding and how people’s music listening habits will change over the past decade.
Tesha Crawford, Netflix’s Director of International Originalcontent northern Europe, said that Spotify’s founding story is a great example of how a local story can have a global impact; He says they’re really excited about bringing this success story to life. The series will be directed by Norwegian-born Per-Olav Sørensen. The series will also be produced by the Yellow Bird team in the UK.
The series will revolve around Swedish technology entrepreneur Daniel Ek and his partner Martin Lorentzon, who co-created a free and legal music service at the height of music piracy. Netflix also says the series can be used in both English and Swedish.
Netflix has not yet announced the release date for the series.
