Spotify raises premium memberships in Turkey

There’s been talk for some time that the digital music platform Spotifyis going to raise premium memberships, and let’s just say that these sensations are now true. Because Spotify is here with the news of a hike in Turkey. There are several increases in individual, student and family packages with the new prices to be reflected to users in January 2020.

Spotify, which will see the price increase in the coming months by e-mail to premium subscribers, did not disclose these prices on its website. However, as we see in the e-mails, student memberships will increase by 2 TL, individual memberships will increase by 4 TL and family memberships will increase by 6 TL.

Spotify recently announced its third quarter results, saying the number of monthly active users increased by 30 percent compared to the same period last year. Spotify, whose revenue surged by 28 per cent year-on-year, said it generated an average of 4.67 euros per user for paid subscribers. Unfortunately, we do not know the number of paid and free users of Spotify in our country, but with the increased membership fees, Spotify’s income from users in Turkey will increase significantly.

As a result, after Spotify’s new hike, monthly prices for premium users will be as follows:
