We have mentioned many times in the past years from SpaceX,a commercial space company founded by Elon Musk. SpaceX, which we shared in June looking for an investment of $300 million, came up with a very interesting news today.
SpaceX, which made a name for itself with reusable Falcon 9 rockets, conducted an emergency landing test yesterday. The test, which was due to take place on Saturday, was postponed until Sunday due to poor weather conditions. Let’s add that two models equipped with sensors are used in the test and the test is successful.
The test, which took place at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, began at 10:30 A.M. US time. When the rocket reached an altitude of about 20 km 84 seconds after launch, the engines were turned off and the test was started. The Dragon capsule with the test mannequins landed in the ocean as planned.
Let’s share that the Dragon capsule landed in the ocean about 10 minutes after the rocket was launched. Add that the Dragon capsule where the test took place can carry a total of 7 astronauts. There is no information as to when the astronaut flights with SpaceX will begin.
