Let’s Appreciate Our Mothers

Let’s appreciate our mothers. The story we share tells the story of a mother’s sacrifice for her son.

My mother only had one eye. I hated him… Because it embarrassed me.

She used to cook at school to support our family.

One day when I was in elementary school, my mother came to say hello to me.

I was in the ground. How could he do that to me?

I ignored him. I looked at him with disgust, and I ran away.

The next day, a friend of mine in class said, “Well, your mom only has one eye!”

I wanted to get to the bottom of the earth. And I wanted my mother to disappear.

So when I met him that day, I said, “You’d rather die than make me look ridiculous?!!!

My mother didn’t fight back.

I didn’t stop and think about what I said for a second because I was so angry.

I wasn’t interested in his feelings.

I didn’t want him at home…

I worked hard and went to Singapore to study.

Then I got married. I bought my own house. I had kids, and I was happy with my life.

One day my mother came to visit me. He hadn’t seen me or known his grandchildren in years.

When he came to the door, my children laughed at him.

I said to him, “How can you come to my house and scare my children!

I called my mother quietly saying, “I’m sorry. I think I came to the wrong address,” and disappeared.

One day I got a letter from the school for the alumni meeting.

I made excuses for my wife to go on a business trip.

After the alumni meeting, I went to the old house out of curiosity!!!.

My neighbors said my mother was dead.

I wasn’t upset at all.

They gave me a letter my mother left me to be given.

“My dearest son, I always think of you…

I’m sorry I came to Singapore and scared your kids.

I was so glad you were coming to homecoming.

But I don’t know if I can get out of bed to see you.

I’m sorry I was a constant embarrassment when you were growing up.

Do you know… You had an accident when you were very young and you lost your eye.

As a mother, I couldn’t bear to see you grow up with one eye.

That’s why I gave you my own eyes…

I was so proud of you for seeing it for me with that look.

With all my love…..

Your mother…
