Apple spent $15 million per episode for its own drama series See



Apple TV’s new features and TV+ were introduced at the Apple special last March, and especially the Netflix rival TV+ product attracted a lot of attention. Apple TV+ is expected to meet users in the coming months.

We’ve previously shared with you what kind of content can be available on Apple TV+. Apple is known to have spent more than $1 billion on original programming. Although the service has not yet announced it, orders for movie gains, rights deals and new TV series are reported months before their debut. One of apple TV+’s original content, the drama series See, is also said to have been spent $15 million per episode.

According to a report by The Wall Street Journal, digital publishing platforms such as Amazon and Netflix have significantly increased their budgets for their original content in recent years. Increasing competition in the market can also be said to be the biggest factor in increasing budgets and making content better quality. For example, if you’re in Netflix initially spent $4.5 million on an episode of House of Cards, while now many digital publishing companies spend between $8 million and $15 million per episode for their original content.



The report specifically noted apple spending $15 million per episode on apple’s exclusive drama See, a drama series exclusive to Apple TV+. The series stars Jason Momoa, who we know from Game of Thrones and Aquaman, and Desperate Housewives and 12 Years Slave, who are told that a virus destroys the human race and the rest of them are blinded by it. Although Apple was initially reported to have a budget of about $1 billion for its original content and TV shows, this amount is not clear. A report released last year revealed that Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoonhad made huge profits for their drama The Morning Show on Apple TV. Each one is said to have made $1.25 million on the show. This proves that Apple has bigger budgets than it’s said.
